The 2018 RKPD Musrenbang is the Cornerstone for Sustainable East Kalimantan Development
The East Kalimantan Provincial Government through the Regional Development Planning Agency (BAPPEDA) of East Kalimantan Province held the 2018 Development Planning Conference (Musrenbang) in the Novotel Hotel Ballroom, Balikpapan, Monday (16/04/2018).
Head of Bappeda East Kalimantan Province Dr. Ir. H. Zairin Zain, M.Si in the report from the chairman of the organizing committee said that the 2019 RKPD is a transition period RKPD considering that the 2013-2018 RJMD will end and will be continued by the elected Governor in the post-conflict regional elections which will be held in 2018. In this regard, the preparation of the 2019 RKPD is still guided by the 2005-2025 RPJPD and the results of the 2017 evaluation of performance achievements. as well as National Development Priorities in the 2019 Government Work Plan and strategic issues currently developing as well as future predictions both regionally, regionally, nationally and globally.
Furthermore, the Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda also said that the preparation of the 2019 RKPD was a strategic step and was a planned series of efforts to build strong regional economic fundamentals based on renewable resources as a foundation for the 2030 Economic Transformation which was initiated by the Governor of East Kalimantan as a form of his contribution to realizing that East Kalimantan will grow into an independent region and be able to prosper its people.
The event with the theme "Strengthening Investment Competitiveness to Accelerate Industrial Downstreaming" was opened directly by the Governor of East Kalimantan, Dr. H. Awang Faroek Ishak and attended by approximately 600 (six hundred) people from all stakeholders consisting of members of the DPR RI, DPD RI from the East Kalimantan Election, Heads of Vertical Institutions/Institutions of East Kalimantan Province, SKPD within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Regents/Mayors and Regency/City Regional Apparatus, Regency/City DPRD, Chancellors, Universities, BUMN/BUMD, Banking, Community Leaders, Youth Organizations, Press Personnel and Social Institutions Public. During the event, presentations were made by 4 resource persons, namely:
- Ministry of National Development Planning/BAPPENAS RI with the theme "Policy Direction for the 2019 Government Work Plan (RKP) in the Context of Equitable Development for Quality Growth in East Kalimantan"
- Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs with the theme "Strengthening Regulations to Support Investment in East Kalimantan"
- Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme "Accelerating Completion of Public Works Infrastructure Development in East Kalimantan"
- Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning National Land Agency of the Republic of Indonesia with the theme "Accelerating Land Acquisition to Support Strategic Development Programs" (fjr)
