Procedure for Application for Information

  1. Public information applicants submit requests for public information to public bodies both by coming directly to the office of public bodies or via e-mail (email), telephone, and registration of requests via the website of the Public Agency that provides e-PPID services (Services for Submitting Public Information Requests Online ).
  2. Public information applicants must submit valid identity documents (KTP) and mention the subject or type of public information requested and how to deliver the desired public information. If the application is incomplete, the Official Management of Information and Documentation (PPID) of the Public Agency has the right to ask the Public Information applicant to complete the application.
  3. PPID at the Public Agency noted all what was mentioned by the Public Information applicant in the application form provided by the PPID Public Agency.
  4. Public information applicants must ask for proof/receipt to PPID Public Agency as proof that the Public Information applicant has made a request for public information to the Public Agency.
  5. Requests for public information must be responded to in writing or fulfilled by public bodies within 10 working days of the request for public information from the Public Information applicant received by PPID Public Agency.
  6. Public bodies can ask for additional time of 7 more working days if the Public Agency requires an additional time of more than 10 working days to respond in writing or meet the request for public information from the Public Information applicant.
  7. If within 17 working days since the request for public information from the Public Information Applicant is received by the PPID of Public Agency, the Public Agency has not responded in writing or has not met the request for public information, or the Public Agency has responded in writing and meets the request for public information but is considered or assessed by the applicant Public Information has not been in accordance with the request for public information submitted or not satisfying Public Information applicants, so the Public Information Applicant has the right to submit an objection letter to the PPID supervisor of the Public Agency.
  8. If within a period of 30 working days since the receipt of the Public Information Applicant's objection letter to the PPID supervisor of the Public Agency, the Objection Letter of the Public Information Applicant is not responded in writing or the request for public information is not fulfilled according to the request submitted by the Public Information applicant, or an objection letter from the applicant for information the public at the PPID superiors has been responded in writing and the request for public information is considered to have been fulfilled by the Public Agency but the Public Information applicant considers and assesses the response and response is not in accordance with the request for public information submitted by the Public Information applicant at the Public Agency, the Public Information Applicant has the right to submit Application for public information disputes to the Information Commission according to its level and authority.

Procedure for Submitting Objection

Public information applicants can submit written objections to PPID superiors no later than 30 (thirty) working days after the following reasons are discovered:

  1. Rejection of the request for public information;
  2. No regular information provided;
  3. Not responded to the request for public information;
  4. Requests for public information are responded not as requested;
  5. Not fulfilling requests for public information;
  6. Imposition of unreasonable costs;
  7. And/or delivery of public information that exceeds the time stipulated in the legislation.

In the event that the objection submission was submitted unwritten, the PPID Secretariat Team directed the Public Information Applicant who filed an objection or the recipient of the power of attorney to fill out the objection form according to the format. In submitting an objection, the applicant must include the legal identity of the applicant as a condition in the application for information. The applicant objected to the following documents:

  1. Response letter/answer application for information from PPID
  2. Receipt Form for Information Request

The applicant objected to the following documents: The PPID Secretariat Team is required to provide a copy of the objection form accompanied by an objection registration number to the Public Information Applicant who filed an objection or his power as a receipt for submitting an objection.
