Kusuma Bangsa Number 2 Samarinda. This sacrificial event was attended by all management and staff as well as families and staff who were entering retirement.

Plt. Head of East Kalimantan Bappeda, Ir.H. Nazrin, M.Si and the Secretary of the East Kalimantan Bappeda delivered a welcoming speech and expressed his thanks for the presence of all staff and their families and those who had entered the retirement mass with their families, and it is hoped that on this Eid al-Adha holiday which is also called Hari Raya Haji or also known as Hari Raya Eid al-Sacrifice 1434 H. On Eid al-Adha 1434 H, Muslims who are able are encouraged to slaughter sacrificial animals. Basically, the slaughter of sacrificial animals contains two values, namely ritual piety and social piety. Ritual piety means that by making sacrifices, we have carried out God's transcendental commands. Sacrifice is said to be a social piety because apart from being a religious ritual, sacrifice also has a humanitarian dimension.

The Eid al-Adha holiday is a form of humanitarian solidarity which is clearly manifested in the distribution of sacrificial meat. This command to sacrifice for those who can afford it shows that Islam is a religion that respects the poor and other disadvantaged people. With the stipulation of sacrifice, Muslims are trained to strengthen their sense of humanity, hone their sensitivity to social problems, and teach them mutual love for each other.

Even though the time for sacrificial slaughter is limited (10-13 Dzulhijjah), it should not be understood that Islam limits human solidarity. We must be able to grasp the essential meaning of the message conveyed by the text, not understand the text literally. Therefore, we will continue to maintain the spirit of 'sacrifice' after Eid al-Adha.

Currently, we often encounter many Muslims who only compete to improve the quality of ritual piety without being balanced with social piety. Many Muslims only pray diligently, fast and are even able to perform the Hajj many times, but do not care about the surrounding community. A sad phenomenon. Let's make Eid al-Adha a momentum to increase two pieties at once, namely ritual piety and social piety.

The sacrificial animal slaughtering event from the leadership and staff of the East Kalimantan Bappeda was also attended by a speaker from Samarinda City, Ustad Taufik Rahman and then continued with a lunch together with the extended family of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, and the beef and goat qurban meat was handed over to the deserving community as well as to Islamic boarding schools and also to social foundations or orphaned children in the city of Samarinda.
