East Kalimantan's Anniversary: ​​Momentum for People's Prosperity

Samarinda, Friday 9/1/15. Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan, H.M. Mukmin Faisal, SH., M.Hum representing the Governor of East Kalimantan DR.H. Cloud Faroek Ishak delivered a speech at the 58th anniversary of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government in 2015.

The 58th Anniversary of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government in 2015 was attended by the Chairman of the East Kalimantan Provincial DPRD, H.M. Syahrun, Regents/Mayors throughout East Kalimantan, officials within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Regencies/Cities throughout East Kalimantan, officials within the Ministry/Institutions of the Republic of Indonesia in East Kalimantan, District/City Heads throughout East Kalimantan, community leaders and religious figures.

In his speech, H.M. Mukmin Faisal said that in line with efforts to realize the 2018 Advanced Kaltim Vision, namely "Equitable and Just Prosperous East Kalimantan Based on Agro-Industry and Environmentally Friendly Energy", it is hoped that all stakeholders will focus on 5 missions which are also the 5 development agendas for East Kalimantan, namely: 1. Realizing the quality of East Kalimantan's human resources that are independent and highly competitive; 2. Realizing People's Economic Competitiveness Based on Natural Resources and Renewable Energy; 3. Realizing Quality Basic Infrastructure for the Community evenly; 4. Realizing Professional, Transparent and Public Service-Oriented Governance; 5. Realizing Good and Healthy Environmental Quality and Taking a Climate Change Perspective.

The entire program is aimed at improving the welfare of the people of East Kalimantan. This was emphasized by the Deputy Governor in his speech that "the East Kalimantan Anniversary is used as a momentum for the prosperity of the people of East Kalimantan".
In commemoration of the 58th anniversary of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government in 2015, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government gave awards

Development Success Banners for Regency/City Governments that are considered successful in increasing development in their respective regions, in accordance with the general criteria set by the Regional Research and Development Agency of East Kalimantan Province, and developed by SKPD that have received National level awards.

In the implementation of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government's anniversary in 2014, 46 awards were given, so in 2015 this increased to 51 banners for development success.

Regency/City Governments that won the Banner of Development Success Award include: 1). Regent of Kutai Kartanegara: 17 Banners of Success; 2. Mayor of Balikpapan: 16 Banners of Success; 3). Regent of Berau: 6 Banners of Success; 4). Mayor of Samarinda: 4 Banners of Success; 5). Mayor of Bontang: 4 Banners of Success; 6). Regent of East Kutai: 3 Banners of Success; 7). Regent of Paser: 2 Banners of Success; 8). West Kutai Regent: 1 Banner of Success; 9). PPU Regent: 1 Banner of Success. Only 1 Mahulu Regency, which is the youngest Regency Government in East Kalimantan, has not yet received the banner of development success.

The Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan hopes that the Banner of Development Success and Awards won by Mayors/Regents throughout East Kalimantan can stimulate enthusiasm for togetherness to be better at work, create, achieve and dedicate themselves better to development in the coming year and will have an impact on improving the welfare of the community.
