Bappeda Best Booth Kaltim Fair 2015
Samarinda, Monday 13/4/15. Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province won first place in the Best Stall category at the Kaltim Fair of the Year
2015 in the parking lot of the Madya Sempaja Samarinda Stadium complex which was attended by all SKPDs within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, BUMN, BUMD and the private sector from Thursday, April 9 2015 to Monday April 13 2015.
The award trophy and certificate as first winner in the 2015 Kaltim Fair Best Booth category were handed over directly by Plt. Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province and Head of Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, DR.Ir.H. Rusmadi, MS at the closing of the 2015 Kaltim Fair which was also closed by Plt. East Kalimantan Provincial Secretary on Monday, 13/4/15 starting from 14.30 to 15.30 WITA.
In his speech, Plt. Dr. Ir. H. Rusmadi, MS said that the implementation of the Kaltim Fair aims to introduce the development results achieved by both the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and the private sector/investors in East Kalimantan.
The East Kalimantan Fair is also a medium for promoting superior local products abroad and internationally as well as positive interaction between producers and consumers on business products, both on a small scale (MSMEs) and large scale (companies), as well as opening up investment opportunities for investment in various business sectors in the East Kalimantan region.
DR.Ir.H. Rusmadi, MS added that "the implementation of the Kaltim Fair has had a positive impact on increasing capital investment and opening up business opportunities, as well as making a significant contribution to economic growth and welfare of the people of East Kalimantan".
The East Kalimantan Province Bappeda exhibition stand displays development data from the East Kalimantan Province development planning session from the local to the national scale, such as planning for the construction of the Toll Road from Samarinda - Balikpapan, Development of the Industrial Area and International Port (KIPI Maloy) in Sangatta, East Kutai Regency. KIPI Maloy is divided into three zones, namely KIPI, Batuta Chemical, and Trans Kalimantan Economiz Zone (TKEZ).
KIPI itself is more focused on the downstream palm oil plantation industry. Batuta Chemical is concentrated on building an ammonium nitrate factory with a capacity of 90 thousand tons per year. Meanwhile, KTEZ processes the downstream coal industry.
KIPI processes downstream CPO (Crude Palm Oil) such as cooking oil or margarine. Then Batuta Chemical is aluminum nitrate or explosives, and TKEZ is more downstream of coal, such as fertilizer.
Information on development planning on an international scale is certainly needed by the wider community for various purposes as well as by investors in investing their capital in the regions.
In the developments carried out so far, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government invites the people of East Kalimantan and business actors to act immediately, because low economic growth has also triggered an increase in the poor population. Although the East Kalimantan Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in 2014 fell to 7.54 percent. Quoted from www.peternakan.kaltimprov.go.id.
"Therefore, it is time for us to make many breakthroughs and move on to developing other sectors that have more potential besides coal, namely natural resources that are renewable resources or can be renewed. This includes the agribusiness sector, as well as continuing to strive to promote the role of cooperatives and MSMEs," he explained.
During the five days of the 5th Kaltim Fair 2015 at the Madya Sempaja Stadium Complex in Samarinda, buying and selling transactions reached Rp. 19 billion. This value is higher than the previous year's transactions which only reached IDR 12 billion. It is hoped that this activity will have a positive impact on investment and opening up business opportunities as well as contributing to the acceleration of economic growth and welfare of the people of East Kalimantan.
