East Kalimantan Bappeda Provides Seven Key Recommendations in evaluating the Results of the Implementation of the Balikpapan City RKPD for the First Quarter of 2025
Samarinda, East Kalimantan – In an effort to improve the quality of regional development planning, the First Expert Planner of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, Fryma Putra Pratama, conveyed seven important recommendations to Bappedalitbang Balikpapan City. This recommendation was given in the evaluation meeting of the Results of the Implementation of the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) for the First Quarter of 2025 which specifically discussed the City of Balikpapan on Thursday, 3 July 2025. This meeting is crucial for providing strategic input for the formulation of future planning and evaluation documents for Balikpapan City.
This evaluation led by Fryma Putra Pratama is a mandate from Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 86 of 2017 concerning Procedures for Planning, Controlling and Evaluation of Regional Development. The main focus of the recommendations highlights the need Bappedalitbang Balikpapan City to ensure consistency of programs and activities between RKPD with APBD, accelerate realization of regional expenditure so that performance targets are achieved, and periodically carry out monitoring and technical guidance to Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) whose indicator achievements are not yet up to target.
Overall, the seven recommendations include: compliance with regional planning guidelinesand circulars Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province; program review and adjustment which are inconsistent between RKPD and APBD; acceleration of regional expenditure realization to achieve performance targets; increased regular monitoring of OPD that have not reached targets and providing technical assistance; optimization of application utilization for the evaluation process; and follow-up on the results of the RKPD evaluation for the first quarter of 2025 as input for the next planning document.
