East Kalimantan Bappeda Supports Data Collection on Fire Protection Systems to Improve Security of Government Assets
Samarinda - The Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of East Kalimantan Province fully supports the implementation of data collection and inspection of fire protection systems initiated by the East Kalimantan Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) in the Fire Sector. The activity, which was carried out at the East Kalimantan Bappeda on Thursday, July 24 2025 and on a scheduled basis at all OPDs within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, aims to prepare a Fire Protection System Master Plan (RISPK) and Fire Hazard Map to ensure the safety of government assets, including buildings, structures and offices belonging to the East Kalimantan Provincial Government. This data collection includes evaluating facilities such as hydrants, fire extinguishers and fire detectors, as well as identifying risk factors in the surrounding environment.
The implementation of data collection and inspection of fire protection systems is led by the East Kalimantan Provincial SatPol PP Analyst for Fire, Dony Muslim together with the City Disdamkarmat Team Samarinda.
According to the Head of the General Subdivision of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, Achmad Risa, who received the fire protection system data collection and inspection TEAM initiated by the East Kalimantan Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) for Fire Sector, this initiative is in line with sustainable development efforts and improving regional asset governance. With accurate data, the government can plan preventive measures and handle fires more effectively, especially in vulnerable areas. It is hoped that the results of the data collection will become the basis for formulating policies and budget allocations for periodic maintenance of fire protection infrastructure.
Furthermore, he also emphasized the importance of collaboration between agencies in implementing this activity, because it is supported by all stakeholders. It is hoped that this can accelerate the realization of an integrated and responsive fire protection system, thus reducing potential losses due to fire in the future.
