East Kalimantan Bappeda: Preparation of the PPU RPJMD Must Be Anticipatory of Changes in National Regulations
Samarinda - In order to support the smooth process of preparing the Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) for North Penajam Paser Regency (PPU), the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda received a coordination visit with the ranks of the PPU Regency Government, the RPJMD Special Committee (Pansus), the PPU DPRD, and the Head Bappedalitbang PPU and its staff, on Thursday (24/07).
This meeting was chaired by Saur Parsoaran, as Secretary and Acting. Head of Infrastructure and Regional Affairs (Infraswil), accompanied by Infraswil staff. This meeting provided a bridge to understand the substance and direction of the preparation of the PPU Regency RPJMD so that it is in line with the regional development policies of East Kalimantan Province and national policies.
In this forum, Saur Parsoaran said that the preparation of the PPU RPJMD document must take into account the dynamics of national policy, including the existence of the Indonesian Capital City (IKN) which is administratively still within the territory of East Kalimantan Province with special treatment. "As long as there are no formal regulations that determine changes in overall administrative status, then matters of public services and regional planning are still the province's authority.
"While regulations have not been determined regarding the new status of IKN, then the position of PPU is still within the scope of East Kalimantan Province. However, if in the future there is a national policy that determines a new status, then the RPJMD must be adjusted through document changes," explained Saur.
He further emphasized that the PPU Regency RPJMD must be in line with the superior priority program (progul) of the Governor of East Kalimantan, in order to create continuity in development planning between the region and the province.
Chair of the RPMJMD Special Committee The PPU stated that in principle, the PPU RPJMD document was in the final stages of preparation. However, a number of policies related to IKN still pose challenges in themselves. Therefore, the meeting aims to coordinate so that the process of determining the RPJMD PPU document can find a bright spot.
Hopefully, it can strengthen coordination between parties involved in preparing a better RPJMD PPU document.
