East Kalimantan Governor was nominated for the 2017 Leadership Award
Governor of East Kalimantan dr. H. Awang Faroek Ishak became one of the seven governors who received the 2017 Leadership Award or 2017 Regional Leadership Award from the Central Government through the Ministry of Home Affairs.
During his leadership, Governor Awang Faroek has formulated how the development of East Kalimantan in the future with the vision of East Kalimantan 2030. That means he has planned how after oil and gas and coal. Various infrastructure facilities continue to be built in his leadership, ranging from the Balikpapan - Samarinda toll road, Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan Airport in Balikpapan and a number of international ports. Including information communication in the border region that has been connected to cellular phones.
Head of the Center for Research and Development of Regional Autonomy, Politics and General Government of the Ministry of Home Affairs Syabnikmat Nizam, said that besides Governor Awang Faroek Ishak there are six other provinces that will be assessed, namely Governor of South Sumatra, West Sumatra, East Java, West Java, in Yogyakarta and NTB.
