Preparing Yourself to Achieve Blessings in the Month of Ramadan
Religious lectures in preparation for entering the holy month of Ramadan 1439 H were held by the Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province in the Basic Pattern Meeting Room, Friday 11 May 2018.
The Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, represented by the Head of Government and Social Culture, Drs. H. Hariyo Santoso gave a speech and opened the event. In his speech, he stated that the importance of this event was to prepare and correct oneself for the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. "In order to welcome the month of Ramadhan that we will be undergoing, it is important for us to prepare and correct ourselves so that the month of Ramadhan becomes a boarding school for us and introspect on what we should do from the beginning to the end of the month of Ramadhan," he said.
The event with the theme "Prepare Faith, Achieve Devotion and Achieve Blessings in the Month of Ramadhan" was attended by all civil servants and non-civil servants Muslims and Muslim women within the East Kalimantan Bappeda. Ustadz Anshari Taslim, was invited to give a sermon on this occasion. Ustadz, who is also the Director of the Bina Insani Kamil Jakarta Islamic Boarding School, Book Author Thariqush Salihin, and Translator of Classical Books (Turafs) was present accompanied by Ustadz Aslam Abu Hanifah who is the chairman of Pusdai East Kalimantan Province.
Starting his sermon, Ustadz Anshari Taslim said that it is important for us to be grateful for all the blessings and gifts from Allah SWT in the form of faith and guidance, because that is the provision to be successful in this world and the hereafter. "One of the most valuable blessings that Allah has given us is the blessing of faith and guidance, because that is what equips us to be successful in this world and the hereafter," said Ustadz Ansari in front of Muslim Bappeda employees and Muslim women who listened to the tausiah solemnly.
Furthermore, true success is related to efforts to achieve blessings in the month of Ramadan for every human being as stated by Allah SWT in his word QS. Ali Imron verse 185 is that humans are kept away from hell and enter heaven. That is the most noble measure of success in the sight of Allah SWT.
The month of Ramadan is a month full of wisdom, where there is mandatory fasting which trains people to become more pious individuals, namely individuals who carry out all the commands of Allah SWT and stay away from all His prohibitions. When someone has piety, his life will be a blessing. (fjr)
