Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda PSDA Division Explains Economic Diversification Strategy for a Sustainable Future in the 2024 East Kalimantan Regional Police Musrenbang
Samarinda, (27/08/2024) - Head of the Economic and Natural Resources Division (PSDA) of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Wahyu Gatut Purboyo, appeared as the main resource person in the 2024 East Kalimantan Regional Police Musrenbang which was held at the Platinum Hotel & Convention Hall, Balikpapan.
In the event with the theme "Precise National Police Ready to Support the Acceleration of Inclusive Economic Growth and Sustainable", Gatut explained the East Kalimantan Provincial Government's strategic policy in supporting inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
Wahyu Gatut Purboyo explained that the development theme of the Province. East Kalimantan in 2025 is "Increasing Economic Diversification supported by Regional Infrastructure and Competitive Human Resources".
In the direction of regional economic policy, to maintain accelerated non-oil and gas and coal economic growth, efforts are needed to strengthen the processing industry, increase agricultural productivity, and encourage the construction, service, trade, transportation, food and drink accommodation and tourism sectors.
All of this is done by taking advantage of opportunities from the presence of the National Capital City (IKN) and increasing development of supporting infrastructure for the economy.
This is in line with East Kalimantan's efforts to reduce dependence on mining products as the main driver of the economy.
This step reflects the province's efforts to transition towards a more environmentally friendly and sustainable economy, in line with the global need to overcome climate change and conserve resources nature.
