Field Visit to Strategic Priority Project for Social Protection System Reform (Regsosek and Family Hope Program)

This series of activities was held to support preparations for the preparation of the 2025-2029 RPJMN, especially to strengthen social aspects in the planning and budgeting process for Strategic Priority Projects (Major Projects).

In the FGD, Bappeda Provincial. East Kalimantan explained the Targets and Realizations, the Condition of East Kalimantan Poverty, Factors Causing Poverty in East Kalimantan as well as Activity Programs related to Poverty Alleviation. Based on data from the Provincial Central Statistics Agency (BPS). East Kalimantan, East Kalimantan's Poverty Percentage over the 5 years tends to decline and is much lower than the national level. In 2022, East Kalimantan's poverty rate will be in the 10th lowest position. The percentage of poor people in March 2022 was 6.31%, up 0.004% points compared to September 2021 and down 0.23% compared to March 2021

The factors that influence poverty are the Covid-19 pandemic which can have a negative impact on several business fields with several conditions, namely: reducing employees, decreasing turnover, and limiting production. With these limitations, it has an impact on community welfare thereby increasing the number of poor people
