Resource person for climate change funding plan in East Kalimantan
Wednesday, July 14, 2021. Head of East Kalimantan Bappeda, was present as a resource person and delivered a presentation related to the climate change funding plan in East Kalimantan.
Commitment to green development has been carried out since 2010 by conducting the Green (Green East Kalimantan) Kaltim Declaration which produced a low carbon development strategy document (Low Carbon Growth Strategy/LCGS). Efforts continued until 2020 until the signing of ERPA (Emission Reduction Payment Agrement) FCPF.
As a form of commitment of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, efforts to preserve green development are contained in the vision of East Kalimantan 2023 "Dare to East Kalimantan Sovereign", especially on mission 4 (environment), namely sovereign in sustainable management of natural resources.
The form of consistency of the Provincial Government's commitment in the main development of green development is to pour it in the RPJMD Prov. And city district.
there are 11 models developed by the parties in Prov. East Kalimantan in the mainstreaming of green development, one of which is a decrease in carbon emissions through the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) scheme.
In addition, the results of identification in the Regional Apparatus Strategic Plan in the Regency/City there are 97 programs and 187 FCPF Emission Reducing Activities in 8 Regency/City. Furthermore, there are 12 development partners that contribute to reducing FCPF emissions in the city district.
