Implementation of the East Kalimantan Province Development Planning Conference (Musrenbang) in 2026
Samarinda (05/05/2025) - Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbang) RPJMD 2025–2029 and RKPD 2026 was held at Pendopo Odah Otam, Office of the Governor of East Kalimantan Province.
This event became a strategic forum in formulating medium-term and annual regional development policy directions as a foundation for inclusive economic and social transformation in Kalimantan East.
The Governor of East Kalimantan in his speech, "Kaltim must move quickly to become the main power in the eastern region of Indonesia. The main key is to grow human resources that are competitive at the international level," said Rudi Mas'ud.
The Governor also highlighted that even though East Kalimantan's Human Development Index (HDI) is ranked fourth nationally, challenges are still big, especially in the health sector. He emphasized the importance of quality education and social protection as the principles of development, as well as bringing the spirit and vision of East Kalimantan to become a developed and successful province towards the golden generation of 2045.
"The meaning of success is not only from physical development achievements, but also from the success of the community in experiencing the benefits directly, including reducing poverty and open unemployment," he added.
In order to achieve this vision, two of East Kalimantan's flagship programs are GratisPol (free education and health services) and JosPol (social political and economic security) continues to be internalized in the RPJMD as a form of commitment to community welfare.
The Head of Bappeda Kaltim in his report said that Musrenbang is an important part in the process of preparing the RPJMD and RKPD. This forum is intended to align regional development priorities, strengthen the substance of the document, and ensure understanding between stakeholders.
"The initial draft of the RPJMD and RKPD has gone through the stages of public consultation and Rakortekrenbang. The results of this Musrenbang will be material for refinement towards setting the final target for the RPJMD in August 2025," explained Yusliando.
The main output of this forum is a joint agreement stated in the news event.
Through this Musrenbang, it is hoped that regional development can run effectively and have a real impact on society.
