Using Digital in Financial Transparency, East Kalimantan Bappeda Introduces SMART-SPJ to Paser Regency Bappedalitbang
Balikpapan, (03/12/2025) - East Kalimantan Province Bappeda attended the invitation of Paser Regency Bappedalitbang in a Joint Discussion regarding the Governance and Implementation of the SMART-SPJ Application on Wednesday (3/12) at the Mess East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Balikpapan.
The activity presented H. Mukti Ali as Technical Implementation Officer for Activities (PPTK) Sub. Finance Section, Rayhard Maulana Sahrullah as Assistant Expenditure Treasurer, Sobbie Syaidinanda as SIPD-RI Operator, and M. Agus Hendra who was the resource person. From the Paser Bappedalitbang the secretary, subdivision heads and all secretariat staff were present.
In the initial session, the East Kalimantan Bappeda explained that SMART-SPJ is a digital innovation designed to simplify the management of Accountability Letters within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.
This system emphasizes strong accountability, efficient financial reporting, and transparent data integration in supporting good governance.
SMART-SPJ was developed to address various obstacles in preparing manual SPJ, such as the risk of wrong input, late reporting, unorganized documents, and the difficulty of auditing and monitoring progress.
Through digital transformation, SMARTSPJ offers a number of solutions, including automation of the input process to avoid manual errors, real-time reporting, centralized data storage to maintain data security and accessibility, transparency and accountability through digital footprints, and ease of coordination between units.
Using electronic systems such as SMART-SPJ is considered capable of speeding up processes, increasing accuracy, while reducing administrative burdens. Overall, SMART-SPJ provides simplification, acceleration and quality improvement in SPJ management, thus strengthening financial efficiency and accountability supporting better and more accountable financial management in the government environment. as an effort to improve financial governance in Bappedalitbang Paser Regency.
