Discussion of Program Targets and Regional Apparatus Indicators in the Context of Preparing the RPJMD
Samarinda (10/04/2025) - The East Kalimantan Provincial Government is preparing to draft the Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) for East Kalimantan Province for 2025-2029. As part of this stage, the Economic and Natural Resources Sector of the East Kalimantan Bappeda held a meeting to discuss target indicators for regional government programs which lasted for three days, from Tuesday to Thursday, 8–10 April 2025.
This meeting involved a number of strategic regional officials who have an important role in regional development. These include the East Kalimantan Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), the East Kalimantan Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD), the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives and SMEs, the Department of Food, Food Crops and Horticulture, the Department of Livestock and Animal Health, the Department of Plantations, the Department of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, the Forestry Service, the Department of Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP), the Department of Tourism, the Department of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), and the Department of the Environment. The focus of this meeting is discussing indicators, outcomes and development directions related to environmental sustainability, economic acceleration, the Environmental Quality Index (IKLH), and reducing the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions in East Kalimantan.
Today, Thursday (10/4), is the last day of the meeting. All regional officials present also submitted suggestions for achievements, challenges and proposed program targets for each of them which will be outlined in the 2025-2029 RPJMD document. It is hoped that, through this discussion and synchronization process, the upcoming RPJMD can become a strong and realistic reference in supporting sustainable development on Bumi Etam.
