Balikpapan, 12/1/12. The construction of this dealer is planned with a terminal building of 110,000. M2 and equipped with one (11) garbarata with an investment of Rp. 1.6 trillion which is 2 times from the Sultan Hasanuddin Makassar Bandar. This program is one of the MP3EI projects (Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia's Economic Development).
This airport is very one of the busiest airports in supporting the economic activities of East Kalimantan and providing easy access services for investors to invest in East Kalimantan.
The target for the development of this airport is specifically for extension for runway from 2,500 meters to 3,250 meters with a cost requirement of Rp. 500 billion so that the Airbas aircraft can land and can later support the Hajj embarkation activities in East Kalimantan that can make direct flights to Jeddah.
