Emission Reduction Program in East Kalimantan: Bappeda Holds FCPF-CF Fund Management Meeting for a Green Future
Bappeda East Kalimantan Province held offline and online coordination meetings together with the Project Management Unit (PMU) and the Forest Carbon Partnership Facility – Carbon Fund (FCPF-CF) Program Planning and Budgeting Working Group at the Mercure Hotel Samarinda, Tuesday (3/9).
The Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, represented by the Head of the Economic and Natural Resources Division (PSDA), Wahyu Gatut Purboyo, opened the coordination meeting which was also attended by FCPF-CF program fund managers in Regional Apparatus Organizations within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, including the Environmental Service, Forestry Service, Plantation Service, Marine and Fisheries Service, Diskominfo, DPMPD, DPMPTSP, Adpim Bureau, and Economic Bureau, as well as from the East Kalimantan Regional Council for Climate Change (DDPI).
"To date, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government has received the second phase of FCPF-PF funds, so it is necessary to evaluate the achievements of FCPF-PF activities by managing FCPF-PF program funds," said the Head of PSDA Bappeda East Kalimantan.
It was further stated that through this coordination meeting there were several resource persons to provide a complete understanding regarding efforts to optimally implement FCPF-PF funds.
Apart from that, there was a discussion and question and answer session moderated by the Young Expert Planner for PSDA, Bappeda Kaltim, Agus Taswanto regarding the evaluation of the implementation of the 2023 FCPF-PF program and future work plans.
The resource persons for this activity include :
1. Dzulkifli, M. Hut (who explained the Annual Work Plan (AWP) for 2024 and 2025 and Alignment of the Achievement of FCPF-CF Program Targets;
2. Reski Udayanti, S. Hut., M. P. (Discussion of Filling in FCPF Targets for each Regional Apparatus and AWP); and
3. Nanang Hayani, S.Hut.,
M.Evn.Mgmt. (Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the FCPF-CF Program in 2023)
Through this activity, it is hoped that all parties (especially FCPF-CF program fund managers in Regional Apparatus Organizations within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and other related stakeholders) can better implement the GHG emission reduction program in East Kalimantan using the FCPF-PF scheme and report the action plans that have been carried out on the portal. https://mrv.kaltimprov.go.id.
