Information Openness FGD Meeting in East Kalimantan
Wednesday, September 8 2021. Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province attended virtually the implementation of the Information Openness Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in East Kalimantan Province. Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, Ir. H. M. Sa'bani, M.Sc opened and at the same time gave a speech that emphasized the importance of synergy that needs to be built between all Government agencies at the Central, Provincial and Regency/City levels in order to optimize information openness and public services.
Present as speaker Prof. Dr. Henri Subiakto (Professor of Social and Political Sciences Unair and Expert Staff of the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Information) conveyed the importance of protecting personal data and the challenges faced as well as the urgency of enacting the Personal Data Protection Bill in Indonesia.
In the next presentation session, Muhammad Khaidir (Commissioner of the East Kalimantan Provincial Information Commission) spoke about information openness in East Kalimantan which was illustrated by the results of the Public Information Openness Index (IKIP) survey in East Kalimantan which was around 80.01 percent or in the quite good category.
