FCPF-CF Program Working Group Coordination Meeting
Samarinda (08/01/2026) - After the coordination meeting regarding the distribution of funds and achievements of the FCPF-CF Program which was held the day before, today's activities were continued with the FCPF-CF Working Group Coordination Meeting. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Economic and Natural Resources Division of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, Wahyu Gatut Purboyo together with Nanang Hayani, as Head of the Natural Resources Section of the Economic Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of East Kalimantan Province. Planning and Budgeting Working Group, Safeguards Working Group, Measurement, Monitoring and Reporting (MMR) Working Group, and Benefit Sharing Management Working Group. Each Working Group has a role, achievements, challenges, and future follow-up plans in supporting efforts to reduce emissions in East Kalimantan.
In the meeting it was agreed that in the future each Working Group would coordinate internally so that program implementation could run more effectively. Each Working Group is also expected to take on roles and responsibilities according to its duties, by inviting all members who have been determined through the Governor's Decree to take part in follow-up meetings or technical meetings.
The follow-up meeting aims to equalize understanding between members, clarify the division of tasks, as well as prepare the Working Group's work plan in more detail and organize operations in accordance with the needs of the working group. field.
In line with the dynamics and technical needs of the FCPF-CF Program, each Working Group is also given space to involve elements of relevant regional apparatus, technical personnel, and supporting partners who have competency and strategic roles. The preparation and strengthening of this membership will be coordinated by the FCPF-CF Program Secretariat of East Kalimantan Province.
Furthermore, the results of the collection of Working Group membership will be processed in accordance with applicable regulations and become material for adjustments or updates to the Governor's Decree regarding membership of the FCPF-CF Program Working Group, as part of efforts to strengthen the implementation of the emission reduction program in Kalimantan East.
