Preliminary Meeting for Preparation and Discussion of the GEF-8 FSIP Project - Animal Husbandry
Samarinda, (08/08/2024) - Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the field of Economics and Natural Resources facilitated the implementation of the Preliminary Meeting for the Preparation and Discussion of the GEF-8 FSIP - Animal Husbandry Project which was carried out by the Indonesian FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) together with the Center for Standardization of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Instruments (PSPKH-BSIP) in the East Kalimantan Bappeda regional police meeting room, Thursday (8/8).
The activity, which was attended by elements of relevant Ministries/Institutions as well as related Regional Apparatus consisting of elements from the East Kalimantan Livestock and Animal Health Service, the Forestry Service, and development partners, aims to trigger a transformation of the livestock system in Indonesia to increase independence, sustainability and provide various global environmental benefits.
Furthermore, this activity aims to gather suggestions and input as well as build shared understanding at the provincial level, collect data and supporting information regarding the project proposal being designed by FAO Indonesia together with PSPKH-BSIP and related Ministries/Institutions entitled "Sustainable Livestock Production to support a Resilient Food System, Environment and Rural Livelihoods in Indonesia".
