Meeting for the Preparation of the Road Map of the Creative Economy Development of East Kalimantan Province
samarinda, (09/11/2020). Head of the Indagkop, Investment and Tourism Subdivision Andi Arifudin, S.Si, M.Si, followed the meeting of the road map of the Creative Economy Development of East Kalimantan Province located in the Ballroom of the Mercure Hotel Samarinda.
This meeting was opened by the Head of the Tourism Office and was attended by the East Kalimantan Provincial Tourism Office, East Kalimantan Provincial Education Office, East Kalimantan Provincial Perindagkop Office, East Kalimantan Provincial Communication and Information Agency, District/City Tourism Office in East Kalimantan, and Vertical Agencies such as Bank Indonesia Kaltim and BPS of East Kalimantan Province.
In Presidential Regulation No. 142 of 2018 mandates that each region should have a creative economic product action plan, while the creative economy itself has not been explicitly in East Kalimantan development planning as a sector that will take an important role in ecotourism-based tourism.

Some reasons why the creative economy needs to be increased, among others, the nation's image and identity, renewable resources, creating innovation and creativity, and equitable welfare.
Documents for the preparation of East Kalimantan Creative Economy Development Road Maps are expected to be completed in early December 2020 which contain conceptions, policy directions, and strategies regarding the development of the creative economy in East Kalimantan
