Initial Seminar on Preparing the Grand Design for Food Security for 2025-2045 for East Kalimantan Province
Balikpapan, (06/11/2024) - Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province held an Initial Seminar on Preparing the Grand Design Study for Food Security for 2025-2045. This activity aims to formulate a long-term strategy to ensure that food security in East Kalimantan is maintained and increased and can face various existing challenges.
In his speech, Wahyu Gatut Purboyo representing the Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda expressed the importance of food as a basic human need that must be met without exception. He also reminded that the right to obtain food is a human right, which is stated in Article 27 of the 1945 Constitution. According to him, food security is not only related to the availability of sufficient food, but also involves food security factors, food diversity, as well as its equitable and affordable distribution by all levels of society.
"Food security is a strategic issue that is very important for human survival. The availability of sufficient, safe, nutritious and affordable food is a basic right of every individual. Therefore, the preparation of the Grand "This Food Security Design is a very strategic step to ensure that food security in East Kalimantan Province is maintained and even increased in the future," said the Head of the Economic and Natural Resources Division (PSDA) in his speech.
This seminar aims to develop concrete steps in order to achieve sustainable food security in East Kalimantan.
It is hoped that this meeting will not only be a venue for the exchange of ideas, but also produce useful formulations for the development of food security in Kalimantan Province. East.
