Seminar Series Sustainable Development Goals
Thursday, 02/24/2022. Head of East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Aswin MM was present as a guest speaker in the "Sustifaable Development Goals Seminar Series" organized by Gadjah Mada University.
In his presentation, Prof. Aswin, who delivered a presentation on "Opportunities and Challenges of Development of the Capital City (IKN)", said that the Province of East Kalimantan had made various efforts to welcome the transfer of IKN to East Kalimantan. East Kalimantan Province has included a discussion regarding the transfer of IKN into the Regional Development Planning Document (RPJMD, RKPD) and RTRW East Kalimantan.
with regard to the transfer of IKN, Prof. Aswin said that the existence of IKN would have an impact on increasing economic growth through trade in service goods and investment that would enter, employment opportunities with the opening of business opportunities, increasing cultural diversity, and increasing the welfare of the community. Although the current condition of East Kalimantan still needs to improve and improve a number of problems such as the quality of local human resources that must be able to be more competitive, the quality of basic infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and communication networks that are still not optimal, illegal mining activities that need to be disciplined, fuel scarcity and optimization of processing of oil palm products.
