East Kalimantan Bappeda Archives Management Socialization Presents East Kalimantan DPK Resource Persons

The Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of East Kalimantan Province held an Archives Management Socialization for archives processors within Bappeda East Kalimantan, took place in the Repetada Meeting Room, Friday (21/11). This official meeting was chaired by the Head of the General Subdivision of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, M. Isnainil Hude, S.Si., which in its introduction emphasizes the importance of orderly management of archives and in accordance with statutory provisions as part of accountable and transparent government governance. This activity was carried out as a follow-up to the mandate of Law Number 43 of 2009 concerning Archives and East Kalimantan Gubernatorial Regulation Number 9 of 2024 concerning Dynamic Archives Management Instruments, which are the main reference for improving the quality of archive management in the East Kalimantan Bappeda.
To strengthen archival capacity, the East Kalimantan Bappeda invited two resource persons from the East Kalimantan Province Library and Archives Service (DPK), namely Head of the Archives Development Division for Archives, Dewi Susanti, S.E., M.M., and Associate Expert Archivist, Risnawati, M.M., who were officially assigned through Assignment Letter Number 800.1.11.1670/ST-DPK/2025. Dewi Susanti delivered material about socializing the transfer of archives from the Processing Unit (UP) to the Archives Unit (UK), which emphasized the importance of mapping, structuring and procedures for transferring archives so that they are orderly, measurable and according to the archive retention schedule that has been determined. Meanwhile, Risnawati explained the mechanisms and procedures for assessing static archives, including the verification stages, determining the archives to be handed over, and carrying out the handover of static archives to regional archival institutions.
Through this socialization, it is hoped that archive processors in each field and the East Kalimantan Bappeda secretariat will be able to apply the principles of dynamic archive management consistently, starting from archive depreciation, transfer, destruction, to handing over static archives in accordance with applicable regulations. The implementation of an archive retention schedule and appropriate archive classification is expected to support the availability of authentic, reliable and easily accessible regional development data and information when needed in the development planning, monitoring, evaluation and reporting processes. This activity is also a momentum to strengthen the synergy between the East Kalimantan Bappeda and the East Kalimantan Library and Archives Service in maintaining collective memory and accountability for government administration in East Kalimantan Province. rgb(0, 0, 0);">#bappedakaltim2025
