Procedures for Requesting Information

  1. Public information applicants submit requests for public information to public bodies either by coming directly to the public body's office or via electronic mail (email), telephone, and registering the request via the public body's website which provides the e-PPID service (online public information request submission service).
  2. Applicants for public information must submit a valid personal identity document (KTP) and state the subject or type of public information requested and the method of delivery of the desired public information. If the application is incomplete, the Public Agency Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) has the right to ask the public information applicant to complete the application.
  3. PPID at public bodies records everything stated by the public information applicant in the application form provided by PPID at public bodies.
  4. The public information applicant must request proof/receipt from the PPID of the public body as proof that the public information applicant has made a request for public information to the public body.
  5. Requests for public information must be responded to in writing or fulfilled by public bodies within 10 working days after the request for public information from the public information applicant is received by the PPID of the public body.
  6. Public bodies can request an additional 7 working days if the public body needs more than 10 working days to respond in writing or fulfill requests for public information from public information applicants.
  7. If within 17 working days after the request for public information from the public information applicant is received by the PPID of the public body, the public body has not responded in writing or has not fulfilled the request for public information, or the public body has responded in writing and fulfilled the request for public information but it is deemed or assessed that the public information requester has not complied with the public information request submitted or has not satisfied the public information requester, then the public information applicant has the right to submit an objection letter to the PPID superior of the public body.
  8. If within 30 working days of receipt of the public information applicant's objection letter to the public agency's superior PPID, the public information applicant's objection letter is not responded to in writing or the request for public information is not fulfilled in accordance with the request submitted by the public information applicant, or the objection letter from the public information applicant to the PPID superior has been responded to in writing and the request for public information is deemed to have been fulfilled by the public agency, but the public information applicant considers and assesses that the response and response is not in accordance with the public information request submitted by the public information applicant to the agency. public, then the applicant for public information has the right to submit a request for a public information dispute to the information commission according to its level and authority.

Procedures for Filing Objections

Applicants for public information can submit objections in writing to PPID superiors no later than 30 (thirty) working days after the following reasons are discovered:

  1. Rejection of requests for public information;
  2. Failure to provide regular information;
  3. Failure to respond to requests for public information;
  4. Requests for public information were not responded to as requested;
  5. Failure to fulfill requests for public information;
  6. Imposition of unreasonable fees;
  7. And/or delivery of public information that exceeds the time stipulated in statutory regulations.

In the event that an objection is submitted not in writing, the PPID Secretariat Team directs the Public Information Applicant who submits the objection or the party receiving the power of attorney to fill in the objection form according to the format. When submitting an objection, the applicant is required to include a valid applicant identity as required in the information request. The Objector Applicant must include the following documents:

  1. Response letter/answer to request for information from PPID
  2. Information request receipt form
