East Kalimantan Library Accreditation
Samarinda, Thursday 10/24/13. The National Library of the Republic of Indonesia made a working visit to the National Development Planning Agency Library, Jl. Kusuma Bangsa No.2 Samarinda in order to accredit the library.
Those who carry out work visits are in accordance with Letter Number: 1369/4.1/ee/X.2013, Regarding Library Accreditation, dated October 10 2013 from the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia which was signed by the Head of the Center for Library Development and Reading Interest Study, Drs. Muh. Syarif Bando, MM addressed to the Head of the East Kalimantan Provincial Library Agency including: 1). Dra. Endang Sri Sumartini; 2). Dra. Alfiah; 3). Drs. Sudarto, M.Si; 4). Sri Palupi, SS, M.P and accompanied by Hj. Siti Mukniati from the East Kalimantan Provincial Library Board.
Meanwhile, libraries in East Kalimantan that will be visited in the Library Accreditation Implementation activities include: 1). Balikpapan City Archives and Library Office, Jl. P. Tendean No.1 Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan; 2). East Kalimantan Province BAPPEDA Library, Jl. Kusuma Bangsa No. 2 Samarinda, East Kalimantan; 3). STAIN Samarinda Library, Jl. Abul Hasan, Pasar Pagi Village, Samarinda City, East Kalimantan and 4). SMA Negeri 10 "Melati" Samarinda, Jl. HAM. Rifadin, Samarinda Seberang District, East Kalimantan.
The working visit of Assessors from the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia was themed directly by the Public Relations of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, Sukandar, S.Sos and the Statistics and Control Division of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, as well as the manager of the East Kalimantan Province BAPPEDA Library, Sariansyah, S. Sos and Fatimah.
Based on the results of the visit of assessors from the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia, there is still a lot of improvement needed both in terms of service management for visitors, library book borrowing management, place management or architecture of reading tables, study tables, and classification of library books, as well as library management. In general, it is good in future planning through the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda library management strategic plan for the next five years. The working visit of the Assessor Team from the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia ended at 8.30 WIT and ended at 10.30 WIT.
