Focus of the East Kalimantan RPJMD Targets 2013-2018
Samarinda, Monday 6/4/15. Discussion of the Accountability Statement Report (LKPJ) of the Governor of East Kalimantan for 2014 focused on
against the targets of 23 development indicators and 19 priority program targets in accordance with the 2013-2018 East Kalimantan Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD).
This was revealed during a meeting to discuss the 2014 East Kalimantan Governor's Accountability Statement Report led by Assistant for People's Welfare, East Kalimantan Provincial Secretariat Drs.H. Bere Ali, M.Si accompanied by Assistant for Economics and Development, Setwilda of East Kalimantan Province, Ir.H. Muhammad Sa'Bani, M.Sc and Head of Statistics and Development Control, Bappeda East Kalimantan Province, Drs.H. Taufik Hermawan.
The 2014 East Kalimantan Governor's LKPJ discussion was attended by SKPD officials, echelon III officials, echelon IV officials and related staff within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government as well as around 75 vertical agencies/institutions in East Kalimantan.
Based on the results of the discussion, it was agreed that each relevant SKPD would be able to provide updated data input for 2014 no later than April 10 2014 and submit it to BAPPEDA of East Kalimantan Province, Stadal Division.
The 2014 East Kalimantan Governor's LKPJ discussion process resulted in the Regional Head's Vision and Mission being outlined in the 2013-2018 East Kalimantan Province Medium Term Regional Development Plan (RPJMD) which was stipulated as Regional Regulation Number 07 of 2014.
The development vision for East Kalimantan in accordance with the 2013-2018 RPJMD is: "Creating an Equitable and Just Prosperous East Kalimantan Based on Agroindustry and Environmentally Friendly Energy"
The meaning intended in the East Kalimantan Vision is described as follows:
a. Prosperous Kaltim that is Equal and Just, is to make East Kalimantan a leading region in the field of agro-industry not only in Indonesia but also in Asia Pacific, marked by the development of agricultural production center areas with an agribusiness system approach, processing industries that produce inputs and those that utilize agricultural products (upstream and downstream industries) such as the development of the Kariangau, Maloy and other industrial areas.
b. Agro-industry and Environmentally Friendly Energy, is to make East Kalimantan a leading energy center in Indonesia which is characterized by the availability of energy needs by optimally utilizing non-renewable energy sources such as natural gas, coal; development of alternative energy sources by utilizing renewable energy sources solar power, wind power and bioenergy as well as growing public awareness to save energy.
Meanwhile, the mandatory tasks that are the mission of the 2013-2018 East Kalimantan RPJMD are mission 1. Realizing the quality of East Kalimantan's human resources that are independent and highly competitive; Mission 2. Realizing democratic economic competitiveness based on natural resources and renewable energy; Mission 3. Create quality basic infrastructure for society equally; Mission 4. Realizing professional, transparent and public service-oriented government governance and Mission 5. Realizing good and healthy environmental quality with a climate change perspective.
