Samarinda, (21/01/2020). Head of Sub-Division of Trade and Cooperatives, Investment and Tourism Andi Arifuddin, S.Pi, M.Si and his staff took part in the FGD on the Development of East Kalimantan Tourism Performance by Bank Indonesia which was held online.
This activity was also attended by the East Kalimantan Provincial Tourism Office, the Berau Regency Tourism Office, the Indonesian Hotel & Restaurant Association (PHRI) of East Kalimantan Province, the Maratua Tourism Area Acceleration Team, PKP2R UNMUL, Nawacita, TGUP3 (Zulkarnain).
This FGD is expected to be a means of input for BI to carry out an assessment of Tourism performance in East Kalimantan and will be input into the Regional Coordination Meeting regarding tourism development in the region
The province of East Kalimantan is slowly trying to develop other economic sectors, one of which is the tourism sector, as Governor Isran Noor has often said on various occasions that East Kalimantan will not be able to continue to survive on non-renewable natural resources and tourism is a promising sector to encourage regional economic growth
Currently, the Provincial Government's efforts to recover the economy during the pandemic are synergizing with relevant stakeholders, namely the Company's CSR through the PPM Program, together with development partners, and the PPP scheme
Andi said that if we pay attention to the tourism sector that has been affected by this pandemic, these include accommodation, food and drink services (restaurants, restaurants, cafes, catering), tourist attractions, tourist travel businesses (BPW, travel, tour boats, tour guides), entertainment (pubs, karaoke, skill games), SPA businesses, Creative Economy businesses (EO, performing arts, music, photography, videography)
Non-physical Special Allocation Funds for Tourism Services Funds for the 2021 Fiscal Year are carried out to increase the governance capacity and quality of cleaning, security and safety services in tourist destinations as well as increasing the capacity of the tourism community and tourism business actors
In the 2012 Fiscal Year, the Tourism Office will carry out Profiling of the Three Lakes Area which is one of the Governor's programs, then Profiling special interest tourism such as cave tourism, adventure tourism. The Ministry of Tourism is also looking at the Karst Area in Sangkulirang
Even though Derawan Island is not included in the 5 national tourism priority areas, it has been designated as a New Priority Tourism Destination (DPP) along with 7 other destinations.
The preparation of the Grand Design for the Tourism Development of the Maratua Islands was carried out with the assistance of the Seycheles government
It is necessary to improve cooperation documents with the principle of equality/Inter Ministers of Indonesia - Seycheles
There is a need to have a Regional Regulation on area management in Maratua (building form, partnership form, local community empowerment, and other aspects) so that in its development there will be no friction and social conflict, especially between entrepreneurs and the surrounding community.
