Synergy in Samarinda City Flood Control between the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and the Samarinda City Government

Coordination Meeting between Regional Apparatus Organizations within the Samarinda City Government (Pemkot) and within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government (Pemprov) in the Samarinda City Bappeda Meeting Room, Thursday 6 August 2020.

Samarinda, 6 August 2020. In order to control floods in the City of Samarinda, a coordination meeting (rakor) was held between Regional Apparatus Organizations both within the Samarinda City Government (Pemkot) and within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government (Pemprov) in the Samarinda City Bappeda Meeting Room, Thursday 6 August 2020.
The OPDs present from the Samarinda City Government at the coordination meeting included the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service (PUPR), Land Service, Head of the Development Administration Section (Kabag) of Development Administration, Head of Infrastructure, Sungai Pinang District Head, North Samarinda District Head, Mugirejo Village Head, and Gunung Lingai Village Head. Also present was the Kalimantan River Region III Hall as the central representative in the region. as well as the PUPR & PERA Service and the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda as representatives of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government.
The coordination meeting led by the Head of the Samarinda City Bappeda (H. Ananta Fathurrozi, S.Sos, M.Si) focused on Flood Control efforts in Samarinda City as well as following up on joint field visits in the Mati River and Talang Sari River Segments.
East Kalimantan Bappeda as the Regional Apparatus (PD) planner in the Province East Kalimantan represented by Dwi Ery Mujahiddin, S.Hut., MP from the Regional Infrastructure sector, in the direction and views of the East Kalimantan Bappeda regarding the focus of the coordination meeting, he said that in 2021, it is hoped that there will be real progress for flood control in Samarinda City, especially for the Mati River and Talang Sari River Segments.
"It is hoped that in this effort, all parties, including the Samarinda City Government, the Samarinda PUPR Service, BWS Kalimantan III, and all related parties can coordinate well to control the flood. "The East Kalimantan Bappeda will also support all efforts made as handling the flood problem is also the Governor's attention and focus." Dwi continued.
“Regarding budget support in this matter, it has been budgeted for in the 2020 Revised APBD and 2021 Pure APBD” said Dwi, continuing the direction from the East Kalimantan Bappeda Leader regarding the focus of the coordination meeting.
