Hearing the Regional Action Plan for Persons with Disabilities (RAD PD) of East Kalimantan Province
Samarinda (03/11/2023), East Kalimantan Province Bappeda received an audience visit from Sigab (Sasana Inclusion & Disable Advocacy Movement) to encourage social inclusion and fulfillment of disability rights in the Poldas room, East Kalimantan Province Bappeda Office.
This hearing was guided directly by Mr. Mispoyo as Head of Government and Human Development (PPM) of East Kalimantan Bappeda and was accompanied by young expert planning for PPM Mr. Asfiandi Zulfiar.
The main purpose of this audience is to create social inclusion in East Kalimantan Province with a greater coverage and ensure the fulfillment of the rights of target groups of people with disabilities or disabled.
One of the indicators of success to achieve the inclusiveness is an increase in the access of disabled people on various public services. Like, population identity, social protection, health services, education, and also legal assistance. In addition, this hearing also aims to increase the active participation of disabled people in decision making and development processes in East Kalimantan.
This audience is also part of an effort to collaborate between Bappeda East Kalimantan and Sigab in supporting the Regional Action Plan with Disabilities (RAD PD) in East Kalimantan Province.
Rad Pd is an initiative that aims to create a more inclusive society, where the needs and rights of persons with disabilities are prioritized in development planning.
In this audience also attended by representatives of the Indonesian Disability Women's Association (HWDI), the Indonesian Disability Persons Association (PPDI), as well as a number of academics from the Faculty of Law, University of Mulawarman (FH Unmul).
This audience visit is an important step in encouraging social inclusion efforts and the fulfillment of the rights of persons with disabilities in East Kalimantan. Hopefully this collaboration will bring great benefits to the whole community, including people with disabilities in East Kalimantan Province.
