The evaluation of the acceleration of stunting decline in East Kalimantan was held by Bappeda East Kalimantan by involving BPKP, related regional apparatus, and cross -sectors
The Evaluation Meeting of Prevention and Decreased Stunting (PPS) of East Kalimantan Province (East Kalimantan) was officially held in the Bappeda Propeda Meeting Room of East Kalimantan Province, Thursday (7/8). This important meeting was led directly by the Head of Government and Human Development (PPM) of East Kalimantan Province, Mr. Mispoyo. This meeting was a follow up from a letter from the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) of the East Kalimantan Province Representative on July 25, 2025 regarding a similar evaluation. Various cross -sectoral elements of the regional apparatus related to the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and Bappeda, including BPKP representatives, were also present at this meeting.
In the meeting, Mr. Mispoyo conveyed a comprehensive exposure to PPS evaluation. Exposure includes data on the prevalence of stunting 2024 in the scope of East Kalimantan and 10 districts/cities in East Kalimantan, as well as highlighting the target of decreasing national stunting that has been set at 18.8%, according to updating the national stunting prevalence target throughout the Ministry of Health. In addition, the results of the performance assessment of 8 convergence action acceleration of decreased stunting 2024 which had been carried out in the late July to early August 2025 was also discussed. The main objective of this evaluation is to ensure efforts to accelerate stunting (PPS) run effectively, efficiently, and on target at all levels, with the team to accelerate the stunting decline is part of the BPKP supervision task that lasted for 15 working days, from July 28, 2025 to August 15, 2025. This evaluation includes various important aspects such as policies, institutional governance, budget planning, shopping details, and utilization of family data stunting (KRS) in each of the related regional apparatuses within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government which is incorporated in the acceleration of the East Kalimantan stunting team. Hope after the implementation of this evaluation activity is so that efforts to accelerate stunting decreases in East Kalimantan are increasingly directed, measurable, and reach the national target set, and ensure that each intervention has a significant impact in efforts to reduce the prevalence of stunting.
