Facilitate Discussion of Strategy Plans for Toll and Non-Toll Road Network Development in the Kalimantan Region
Samarinda (24/06/2024) - As a follow-up to the PUPR Ministry's letter from the Directorate General of Regional Development dated 7 June 2024, the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda through the Head of Infrastructure and Regional Affairs, Mr. Baihaqi Hazami led the discussion of the Strategy Plan for Development of the Toll and Non-Toll Road Network in the Kalimantan Region which was held in the Repetada Room of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, Monday (24/6).
The discussion was attended by 24 participants consisting of elements from the PUPR Ministry, Directorate General of Regional Development, elements from the East Kalimantan Provincial Bappeda along with related Regional Apparatus within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, and related BUMN elements such as PT. Pelindo IV, PT. Pertamina Hulu Indonesia, and Perusahaan Gas Negara, this was carried out in the context of determining the priority scale for increasing accessibility to development areas as well as improving/expanding the road network in the future.
Furthermore, the discussion aims to explain the progress of the KTRMP Study and obtain input for the Road Network Development Strategy at the regional level in the efforts to prepare the Kalimantan Toll Road Masterplan carried out by the Indonesia-Australia Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT).
In addition, face-to-face discussions with the Regional Government and related stakeholders were carried out to obtain input regarding Key Development and road network strategies to formulate detailed recommendations for determining scenarios in traffic modeling testing.
