East Kalimantan Provincial Government Cross-Regional Forum Thematic 4: Realizing Sustainable Development
Samarinda (24/04/2025) - The East Kalimantan Provincial Government (Kaltim) Cross-Regional Government Forum was held with the main aim of finalizing the preparation of the 2025-2029 Regional Apparatus Strategic Plan (RENSTRA) and the 2026 Regional Apparatus Work Plan (RENJA). representing the Assistant for Economic and Development Administration of the East Kalimantan Provincial Secretariat.
Furthermore, the Head of the Economic and Natural Resources Division of the East Kalimantan Bappeda, Wahyu Gatut Purboyo, delivered an introduction to the forum by emphasizing the importance of collaboration between sectors to realize sustainable development.
This activity was attended by members of the DPRD, Head of Regional Apparatus of the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, representatives of districts/cities, BUMN, development partners and academics. In the presentation session, various department heads conveyed the main outputs of their regional apparatus, including increasing water conservation areas and the GRDP contribution of the fisheries sector for the Blue Economy by the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service, increasing employment opportunities for the Blue Economy and labor productivity for the Green Economy by the Manpower and Transmigration Office, rice productivity and supporting food security as well as reducing GHG emissions in the agricultural sector by the Food, Food Crop and Horticulture Service, as well as efforts to improve environmental quality and reduce GHG emissions by the Department Environment, Forestry, Plantation and ESDM, to the Disaster Risk Index target by BPBD.
After a comprehensive presentation session, all forum participants were involved in active discussions. This session is an important space for exchanging ideas, providing constructive input, and aligning various programs between regional agencies in order to achieve sustainable development goals in East Kalimantan.
Through this Cross-Regional Apparatus Forum, it is hoped that we can produce RENSTRA and RENJA documents that are synergistic and focused on sustainable development, so that East Kalimantan can contribute optimally in realizing an Advanced Indonesia Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045. Collaboration and commitment from all parties is the key to success in implementing environmentally sound development plans.
