2012 East Kalimantan SKPD Forum
Samarinda, Tuesday 27/3/12. Regional Secretary of East Kalimantan Province, DR. Irianto Lambrie delivered a presentation and opened the event
East Kalimantan Province Regional Government Work Unit Forum (SKPD) in the context of preparing the 2013 East Kalimantan Provincial Government's RKPD with the theme "Strengthening Regional Economic Competitiveness and Pro-People Programs to Realize East Kalimantan Bangkit 2013", while the theme is the Government's Work Plan (RKP) National for 2013 is "Consolidating a strong Domestic Economy, increasing and expanding people's welfare".
Implementation of the 2012 East Kalimantan SKPD Forum in the Basic Pattern meeting room on the first floor of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda Jl. Kusuma Bangsa Number 2 Samarinda and was attended by approximately two hundred participants consisting of participants from the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and Regency/City Governments throughout East Kalimantan as well as the East Kalimantan DPRD, community leaders and Non-Governmental Organizations/NGOs.
The event began with a report from the chief executive of the 2012 East Kalimantan SKPD Forum, namely the Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda DR.Ir.H. Rusmadi.MS also conveyed 10 priority programs for East Kalimantan Development in 2012, namely:
1. Food independence and sovereignty;
2. Poverty Alleviation;
3. Unemployment;
4. Limited Access to Capital;
5. Bureaucratic/Public Service Reform;
6. Environmental Quality Degradation;
7. Competitiveness and Investment Climate;
8. Education and Health Services;
9. Infrastructure;
10. Development of Borders, Interior and Disadvantaged Areas.
Meanwhile, Strategic Development issues East Kalimantan in 2013, there were several priority development programs, including:
1. GRDP has an increasing trend and economic growth fluctuates but is not accompanied by a significant reduction in poverty and unemployment;
2. GRDP depends on the oil and gas and mining sectors, lack of sources of sustainable economic growth;
3. The consequences of exploitation of non-renewable natural resources result in environmental damage;
4. The occurrence of migration to East Kalimantan Province where the population is poor and does not have skills, resulting in a high population growth rate, a slow decline in poverty levels and unemployment;
5. The quantity and quality of infrastructure is still minimal to support production center areas, industrial areas, outlets and open isolated areas (inland and border areas);
6. There is still minimal investment in non-mining manufacturing and palm oil;
7. There is a development gap between coastal and inland/border areas;
8. Access and quality of education and health services have not yet reached communities in border and interior areas;
9. Not yet optimal bureaucratic services and government governance;
10. Rice self-sufficiency has not been achieved;
11. Implementation of the 2013 Regional Election.
