Regional Governance Index Results
Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the Empowerment and Human Development Sector attended the dissemination of trial results and utilization of the results of the Regional Government Governance Index (ITKPD) which was carried out online by the Domestic Policy Strategy Agency (BKSDN) of the Ministry of Home Affairs and attended by elements of Bappeda throughout Indonesia, the Regional Research and Development Agency, and all other policy stakeholders, Wednesday (15/02/2023).

In the opening remarks of the Head of BKSDN Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Dr. Yusharto Huntoyungo, M.Pd. It was conveyed that the dissemination carried out was aimed at informing the results of the 2022 ITKPD measurement trials as well as gathering input for improvements to the ITKPD instrument from the perspective of Regional Governments throughout Indonesia.

It is further stated that the results of this ITKPD are expected to be followed up and implemented by all stakeholders to become a benchmark for the achievement of Regional Government performance.

Related to the results of the trial and use of ITKPD as conveyed by Mr. Sigit Murwito from the Partnership Team, ITKPD was developed to comprehensively measure regional government performance as input in preparing development planning both at the center and at the regional level (RPJMD).

In terms of the use of ITKPD results by regional governments, the use is for policy formulation and viewing performance achievements in regional development implementation and the basis for preparing regional development plans.

The results of the ITKPD trial in 34 provinces using 2020-2021 data show that East Kalimantan Province is in first place with an ITKPD value of 0.604 and East Java and DIY are next in line based on regional type classification.
