Public Consultation on Preliminary Draft Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) for East Kalimantan Province for 2045
Samarinda, (20/02/2024) - The Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) of East Kalimantan Province held a public consultation event to discuss the Preliminary Draft Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) of East Kalimantan Province for 2025. This event took place at the Mercure Hotel Samarinda and was attended by 100 participants, both offline and online.
Resources at the event included Mr. Yusliando, Head of Bappeda for East Kalimantan Province, who explained the "Preliminary Draft RKPD for East Kalimantan Province for 2025". Mr Wisnu Hidayat representing PEIPD, Directorate General of Regional Development of the Ministry of Home Affairs, explained "Guidelines for Preparing the 2025 RKPD". Mr. Anang Budi Gunawan representing Regional Director II, Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, conveyed the "National Development Priority Theme, as well as the Direction of East Kalimantan Development Policy in 2025". Meanwhile, Mr. Agustomi Masik, Director of Macro Planning at the IKN Authority, discussed "IKN Development Synergy with East Kalimantan in 2025". The delivery session was facilitated by Mr. Erwiantono from Mulawarman University.
Public consultation participants consisted of various parties, such as the East Kalimantan Provincial DPRD, East Kalimantan Provincial Government, Vertical Agencies, Regency/City Bappelitbang, Academics, Representatives of Community Figures, BUMN, BUMD, Development Partners, and Media.
This public consultation aims to obtain suggestions and input from all regional development stakeholders as material for improving the Preliminary Draft RKPD for East Kalimantan Province for 2025. The results of this consultation will be the basis for preparing the Draft RKPD which will then be brought to the Development Planning Deliberation Forum (MUSRENBANG) on April 25 2024.
The initial draft RKPD for East Kalimantan Province for 2025 has been prepared taking into account the results of the evaluation of development implementation in 2023, development problems, as well as opportunities and challenges faced by the region. The development theme being promoted is "Optimizing economic diversification supported by improving regional infrastructure and competitive human resources." This reflects the enthusiasm to grow the regional economy without depending on the mining and quarrying sector.
After the material delivery session, it was continued with a discussion session and submission of input from participants. The event ended with the signing of minutes of agreement resulting from public consultation. All agreements and input obtained from this consultation will become the basis for preparing the 2025 East Kalimantan Province RKPD that is better and responsive to community needs and regional development.
