2023 Phase III PPD Assessment Team Verification Field Visit
Balikpapan, (29/03/2023). The 2023 Regional Development Award (PPD) is a series of evaluations through three stages, namely document assessment, presentation and interview, and verification. The Phase I and II assessments for the Provincial Level have been completed, and the East Kalimantan Provincial Government has successfully advanced to Phase III, namely Verification.

In the Phase III Assessment which is scheduled for Thursday - Friday, 30 - 31 March 2023, verification and assessment will be carried out through field visits by the Independent Assessment Team (TPI) and the Main Assessment Team (TPU) from the perspective of non-Bappeda stakeholders regarding the preparation of the 2023 RKPD, implementation and achievement of regional development targets, as well as innovations covering 22 indicators with 3 aspects, namely achievement, planning and innovation.

The Assessment Team that will carry out the verification and assessment includes Mr. Prof. Ir. Tommy Firman, M.Sc., Ph.D. (TPI), Mr. Drs. Sumedi Andono Mulyo, M.Sc., Ph.D. (TPU) , and Mr. Ir. Ahmad Dading Gunadi, M.A. (TPU).

Head of Bappeda for East Kalimantan Province, Mr. Yusliando, accompanied by Head of Government and Human Development (Mr. Mispoyo), Head of Economy & Natural Resources (Mr. Wahyu Gatut Purboyo), Head of Infrastructure and Regional Affairs (Mrs. Elly Luchritia Nova), and Young Expert Planners within Bappeda of East Kalimantan accompanying the verification process of the Stage III Assessment Team for Provincial Level Verification of Regional Development Awards (PPD) in 2023.

There are several destinations in Balikpapan City during the field visit, including the following:
- Specific 1 : Education = SMA Negeri 2 Balikpapan – IMPORTANT Student Community (Care for Stunting)
- Specific 2 : Downstream Industry = Kariangau Industrial Area (PT. Kutai Refinery Nusantara)
- Specific 3 : FCPF- CF = FCPF- CF Program (Bamboo Tourism and Meranti Tourism in HLSM Kel. Karang Joang)
- Specific 4: Construction of Livable Houses CSR funding sources
- Specific 5 : Food = Barnacle Agricultural Area
Furthermore, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) will be held coordinated by Bappeda by inviting stakeholders in the areas scheduled for Friday, March 31 2023 in Samarinda City.
