Musrenbang RKPD Balikpapan City in 2023

Thursday, 31/03/2022. Secretary of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Ms. Charmarijaty, ST, M.Si representing the Head of Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province attended as a guest speaker at the Development Planning Consultation (Musrenbang) in the context of the preparation of the Balikpapan City RKPD in 2023 which was held at the Balikpapan City Hall Office.

This Musrenbang was carried out in the context of the improvement of the Balikpapan City RKPD design to be the final draft RKPD of Balikpapan City in 2023, according to the Mandate of Permendagri No. 86 of 2017.

This event was attended by 399 participants consisting of regional apparatus scope of the Balikpapan City Government, Balikpapan City DPRD, private representatives, regional companies, organizations and community leaders, and NGOs. This event was opened by the Mayor of Balikpapan.

Secretary of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda delivered a presentation on the response to the direction of the Balikpapan City Development Policy in the RKPD in 2023. Mrs. Charmarijaty (Mrs. concerning the alignment of development priorities in the preparation of the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) of East Kalimantan Province and Regency/City in 2023.

Some things that need to be harmonized include the theme, priority, macro development target of the 2023 regional development, the direction of the district/city regional development policy in the RKPD draft of the East Kalimantan Province in 2023, as well as the agenda for the preparation of the RKPD of East Kalimantan Province and the Regency/City RKPD in 2023.

Mrs. Nona conveyed the description of the problems that are still faced by the provinces and districts/cities, especially in the achievement of macro development indicators that lead to several fundamental problems such as high levels of poverty, open unemployment, income inequality and decreased environmental quality.

In relation to the alignment of development planning at the provincial and district/city level, Balikpapan City needs to pay attention and harmonize the macro development target with the specified targets at the provincial level in 2023.

The macro target of the development of East Kalimantan Province in 2023 is the 77.75 Human Development Index; Poverty rate of 5.9%; Open unemployment rate of 6.5%; The rate of economic growth is 3.5+1; GRDP per capita Rp. 175 million; Gini Index 0.308; and environmental quality index 76.15.

Meanwhile, the direction of the development policy of the City of Balikpapan that has been formulated in the RKPD of East Kalimantan Province in 2023 needs to be directed at improving educational facilities and infrastructure; improvement of health services and puskesmas accreditation; handling road and bridge infrastructure; improvement of flood control infrastructure; providing assistance for livable home stimulants for pre -prosperous families; certification of processed business operators of fishery products; social forestry group development; and the development of the Kariangau Industry.

In relation to the transfer of the capital city of "Nusantara" to East Kalimantan, the priority and focus of the development of the City of Balikpapan needs to prioritize the carrying capacity and resilience of the city to meet the basic needs of sustainable city communities. In addition, the city of Balikpapan as one of the most livable cities in Indonesia needs to be maintained and improved to support socio -economic activities in East Kalimantan and also in IKN.

At the end of the delivery, it was conveyed related to the schedule for the implementation of the East Kalimantan Province RKPD Musrenbang Forum in 2023 which was planned to be held on April 20, 2022.
