Launch of Manufacturing Sector Study Book
Wednesday, November 17 2021. East Kalimantan Bappeda represented by the Economic and Natural Resources Sector Attended the Launch of the Manufacturing Sector Study Book by Bappenas
The Ministry of Bappenas collaborates with the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia which has completed a manufacturing study sector study. This study has been carried out since 2018 and is part of the background study for the 2020-2024 RPJMN.
As stated by Amalia Adininggar as Deputy for Economic Affairs at Bappenas, this study has been updated with issues and problems in the industrial and manufacturing sectors during the Covid 19 pandemic. The preparation of this study was carried out through secondary data analysis, a series of group discussions with institutional ministries, key manufacturing industry players, and researchers/academics and stakeholders. other related.
With that, the results of this study are included in the book that will be launched. In general, this book provides an overview of the general condition of the manufacturing sector in Indonesia, as well as recommendations for better strategies for developing the manufacturing industry in the future.
The launch of this book was opened by the Minister of National Development Planning, Suharso Manoarfa. Also present at the book launch were ERIA President Hidetoshi Nishimura, ITB, Prospera, Australian National University, LPM UI, APINDO, and Related Ministry Institutions.
This activity aims to disseminate the results of the study with the hope that it can become one of the main references in the development of the manufacturing industry as well as a discussion forum between stakeholders at the central government level and practitioners for policy formulation.
