Friday, 22 October 2021. The Head of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda accompanied by representatives from the Government and Human Development Sector was present to be a resource person in the implementation of the "Panel discussion on Startups and Technology" which was held in Balikpapan City.
President Jokowi has mandated national digital transformation as the main focus of Indonesian Government policy in the next 5 years. The Ministry of Communication and Informatics (Kominfo) through the Director General of Information Applications, the Directorate of Digital Economy has the task of accelerating digital transformation in various strategic sectors, namely: Agriculture & Fisheries, Health, Logistics, Tourism, Education, Finance and Smart City.
Kominfo will hold a series of activities and events aimed at bringing innovation from digital startups together with various stakeholders. This activity was carried out under the name HUB.ID. HUB.ID is a program to accelerate digital startups with all technological innovations and business models which are expected to meet the innovation needs of various stakeholders such as BUMN, private corporations, government agencies and investors.
