East Kalimantan Province DPRD Family Resilience Special Committee Meeting

Monday, September 13 2021. East Kalimantan Province Bappeda attended a limited meeting with the Provincial DPRD Special Committee. East Kalimantan regarding Family Resilience in the Context of Improving the Draft Regional Regulation on Family Resilience.

The background to the drafting of the Draft Regional Regulation on Family Resilience was after the Special Committee had made several visits and consultations to other provinces, including West Java, Jogyakarta and NTB. And in districts/cities in East Kalimantan, visits were made to Balikpapan, Kukar, Paser, PPU. Where a lot of input was obtained about family resilience and the importance of family functions related to education, economics, etc.

The purpose of the Public Hearing Meeting (RDP) is to strengthen the Draft Special Committee on Family Resilience that has been created, by obtaining input from the relevant Regional Apparatus.

The Education Department explained that there is a need for support related to 12 years of Compulsory Education, Religious Programs (according to Mission 1 of East Kalimantan Province) which supports increasing family resilience.

Disperindagkop has implemented programs to encourage family resilience such as:

  1. Training activities for SMEs affected by Covid-19 from the Ministry of Cooperatives,
  2. NOT
  3. Training Activities from UPTD Disperindagkop

Disnakertrans is related to family resilience in the business world where so far there have been no legal regulations, especially from the Ministry of Manpower, that regulate it. This draft regional regulation will purely be local policy/wisdom. It is hoped that this draft regional regulation will be followed up with a Governor's Regulation that regulates the technical aspects. So that there is a legal umbrella for carrying out supervision in the field.

Indicators of family resilience are seen through economic resilience. The end of family resilience is the economy, this must be integrated with the relevant regional apparatus.

The Social Welfare Bureau related to the Activity Program related to family resilience is assistance for disabilities in collaboration with the Provincial and City District Social Services which carries out data collection, assistance to Social Institutions, and assistance to Islamic Boarding Schools.
