The 22nd Plenary Meeting Listens to the State Address of the President of the Republic of Indonesia in Commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence in 2021

The Head of the East Kalimantan Bappeda and all Heads of Regional Apparatus within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government were present online to accompany the Governor of East Kalimantan and approximately 28 members of the East Kalimantan DPRD to listen to the state speech of the President of the Republic of Indonesia on the occasion of the 76th Republic of Indonesia Anniversary as well as the presentation of the Bill on the 2022 Fiscal Year APBN and financial notes accompanied by supporting documents which were presented at the 2021 DPR RI Plenary Session I - 2022.

Opening the event, the Chairman of the DPR RI conveyed the importance of the government's role, the supervisory function of the DPR RI, the role of the security and defense apparatus which is focused on handling the health sector, handling the impact of Covid 19, public services during the Covid 19 pandemic, as well as the importance of synergizing between the central government and regional governments.

Furthermore, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Joko Widodo, in his state speech in a series of events ahead of the 76th Indonesian Independence Day and as an introduction to the presentation of the 2022 APBN Bill and financial note, said that the crisis, recession and pandemic are tests that must be passed. The pandemic forces us to build new normalities such as using masks, maintaining distance and online systems in work and learning. We as an independent nation who need to win the test of this pandemic need to accelerate innovation and create new things in aspects of our lives. Disease is our common problem and being healthy is our common agenda. The pandemic has brought us a number of significant changes and developments in the health sector.
