Meeting for Preparation of TPST Planning Study Documents in Lintas Samarinda and Kukar
Monday, August 23 2021. Representatives of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda attended the online activity "Preparation of TPST planning study documents across Samarinda and Kukar".
Several important things to note in carrying out this activity include:
- The study of TPST planning in Lintas Samarinda and Kutai Kartanegara was carried out by the East Kalimantan Provincial Environmental Service in collaboration with Mulawarman University.
- PST or Material Recovery Facility (MRF) is a place where waste separation and processing activities are carried out centrally.
- The main activities of TPST are: Further processing of waste that has been sorted at the source, separation and direct processing of municipal waste components, and improving the quality of recovery/recycling products.
- The objectives of the study include: Technical aspects, namely analysis of regional TPST development location plans based on technical considerations (selection of regional criteria and opt-outs will take into account the provisions in SNI); Non-technical aspects, namely determining the analysis of regional TPST location development plans based on non-technical considerations (institutional readiness, role of the community, role of the private sector and sources of financing); Recommendations, namely providing recommendations for optimizing TPST operational activities.
