Election preparation meeting and simultaneous local elections in 2024
Tuesday, 01/03/2022. Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through government and human development attended the coordination meeting of election preparations and simultaneous local elections in 2024 held by the Ministry of Home Affairs through the Zoom Meeting. Simultaneous Elections in 2024 elected President and Vice President, DPR RI, DPD RI, Provincial DPRD and Regency/City DPRD will be held on February 14, 2024. While for the simultaneous local elections in 2024, they chose the Governor and Deputy Governor, Regent and Deputy Regent, as well as the Mayor and Deputy Mayor will be held on November 27, 2024.
The meeting attended by more than 700 participants presented two speakers namely Dr. Sugeng Hariyono as Plt. Director General of Regional Development Development and Dr. Horas Maurits Panjaitan, M.Ec.Dev as Director of Regional Financial Implementation and Accountability.
dr. Sugeng Hariyono conveyed things that needed to be a concern ahead of the Simultaneous Local Election in 2024 in the Regional Development Planning Document, namely:
Preparation of Regional Development Plan Documents in 2023-2026 and Regional Apparatus Strategic Plan to pay attention to programs relating to the affairs of national and political unity as stipulated in the Ministry of Home Affairs 050-5889 of 2021;
it is necessary to arrange a roadmap regarding the preparation of the election and simultaneous local elections in 2024 so as to create a shared understanding regarding the preparation of the simultaneous local elections in 2024;
local government to continue to play an active role in paying attention to the references that have been issued by the central government related to the elections and report the actual conditions in the region;
For the regions that compile RPD 2023-2026 in order to use the classification, codeification, and nomenclature of regional development and financial planning in accordance with the Ministry of Home Affairs 050-5889/2021
dr. Horas Maurits Panjaitan, M.Ec.Dev as Plh. The Director General of Regional Finance Development said that the funding of the Governor, Regent and Mayor Election activities sourced from the APBD. In the event that the regional government will carry out simultaneous local elections in 2024, it can form a reserve fund with regional head regulations in accordance with the provisions of the legislation. In Permendagri 54 of 2019 Article 2 paragraph 3 stated that in the case of funding cannot be charged in 1 (one) fiscal year, the regional government can form a reserve fund
