Reconciliation of Family Data Collection Results and SIGA
Samarinda, (28/03/28). Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province through the Young Expert Planner, Sub-Coordinator of People's Welfare, Mr. Asfiandi Zulfiar attended the Data Reconciliation of Family Data Collection Results and the Family Information System (SIGA) in the Context of Increasing the Coverage and Quality of Data at the East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan Province Levels in 2023 which was held by the East Kalimantan BKKBN at the Mercure Samarinda Hotel.

The event, which was also attended by representatives of relevant Regional Apparatus within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and Community Organizations (consisting of the East Kalimantan IBI and the East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan PPS Task Force Team) was carried out in order to increase the coverage and quality of SIGA data at the East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan Provincial Levels in 2023 as mandated by Law (UU) Number 52 of 2009 and Government Regulation (PP) Number 87 of 2014 which requires the Government to be responsible for developing SIGA nationally and sustainably.

In his opening remarks, the Head of the East Kalimantan BKKBN, Mr. Dr. Sunarto said that fulfilling the latest family data and information needs according to conditions in the field, both for the purposes of the Bangga Kencana program and other development programs, is a primary need, especially for families at risk of stunting.

It was further stated that support from all parties is needed to make family data collection, reporting via the New SIGA application a success, and also verification of data validation for families at risk of stunting so that it runs according to existing regulations and produces accurate, relevant and accountable data as a basis for planning, policy making and operational implementation of the Bangga Kencana program and other development programs.

At the event, appreciation was also expressed to the Best District/City SIGA Manager for SIGA Data Coverage and Quality at the East Kalimantan and North Kalimantan Province level in 2022, where Kab. Kutai Kartanegara, Kab. West Kutai and Bontang City are the districts/cities receiving appreciation for East Kalimantan Province, as well as the District. Tana Tidung, Kab. Bulungan, and Tarakan City for North Kalimantan Province.
