Socialization and Technical Guidance on Mikrotik Training for Regional Equipment Operators
Bappeda of East Kalimantan Province, through technical personnel in the general sub-section, attended the Socialization and Technical Guidance of Mikrotik Training for Regional Equipment Operators within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government which was organized by the East Kalimantan Diskominfo at the Swiss Bell Hotel Balikpapan, Wednesday (22/02/2023).

The activity, which was attended by representatives of all elements of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) in the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, was carried out to increase the capacity of Technical Human Resources (HR) as a follow-up to the East Kalimantan Diskominfo letter Number 5 500.12.15.1/078/Diskominfo dated January 24 2023 regarding the Installation of WAN Network Infrastructure for Regional Apparatus within the Provincial Government. Head of the East Kalimantan Diskominfo, Mr. H. Muhammad Faisal, S.Sos., M.Sc. in his remarks and opening instructions for the event, he said that the East Kalimantan Provincial Government, through the East Kalimantan Diskominfo, in its 2023 Strategic Plan (Renstra) targets 37 OPDs in the East Kalimantan Provincial Government to be interconnected with a Fiber Optic network to optimize data and information exchange.

Furthermore, network connectivity between OPDs within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government is important to be supported by increasing the capacity of technical human resources in an effort to optimize the Fiber Optic network that connects all OPDs and their supporting software and hardware.

Efforts to increase human resources for regional equipment operators within the East Kalimantan Provincial Government carried out by Diskominfo Kaltim in this activity were to present an Expert (Mr. Dedy Cahyadi) who delivered a presentation regarding the Introduction of East Kalimantan Provincial Network Services & Escalation of Network Problems which included discussions related to Intra/Internet Network Topology, Internet Services, East Kalimantan Provincial Intranet Services, Development Phases Network, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, and Escalation of internet network disruptions.

The activity continued with technical training regarding Mikrotik Router Configuration delivered by Mr. Kifli from the Icon Plus Team.
