Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan Greets Residents of the "Muluy" Traditional Law Community in Paser Regency

Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan, Mr. Hadi Mulyadi during his working visit to the southern region (7 to 9 June 2022) visited the citizens of the Customary Law (MHA) "Muluy" who were in Swan Village Slutung, Muara Komam District, Paser Regency. Secretary of the East Kalimantan Province Bappeda, Ms. Charmarijaty, ST, M.Sc together with functional officials assigned to the activity (Mr. Asfiandi Zulfiar, ST, M.URP and Mr. Berlin F. Sihaloho, SE) accompanied the implementation of the visit. >

The Customary Law Community "Muluy" recently became one of the recipients of the 10 National Kalpataru Award in 2022. This is certainly a pride for the Paser Regency Government and the Provincial Government of East Kalimantan. To note that Kalpataru is an award given to individuals or groups for his services in preserving the environment in Indonesia.

The submission of the Kalpataru award from the central government to the "Muluy" customary law community is planned to be handed over in the second week of June. Pak Jidan as a tribal/adat Muluy is planned to receive the award directly in Jakarta. The determination of the 10 recipients of the Kalpataru award is based on the Decree of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Number SK.533/Menlhk/PSKL/PSL.3/5/522. MHA "Muluy" is the first MHA in East Kalimantan to get the award. It is hoped that in the future it can be a motivation for all citizens and other community groups to be able to more actively preserve the environment and forestry in East Kalimantan.

Mr. East Kalimantan Deputy Governor, Hadi Mulyadi said in his remarks, that it is a happiness and pride to reach the hamlet "Muluy" which in the near future will get the Kalpataru award from Mr. President. He expressed his gratitude to the entire community and especially to Mr. Jidan (Chief of the Tribal/Custom of "Muluy") who had actively protecting the environment and the surrounding forest. He also told me that it was difficult to go to the "Muluy" hamlet, had fallen while riding a trail motorbike but did not break his enthusiasm to continue to meet with the residents of the hamlet "Muluy". Then Mr. Hadi also conveyed and asked the East Kalimantan PUPR Office who took part in the group to be able to coordinate with the team so that the hamlet "Muluy" became a location that gets a livable home program.

On this visit to MHA "Muluy", the submission of customary forest decree and a charter of the Forest Management Award to the Customary Law Community "Muluy" from the Provincial Government; award certificate to the Indonesian Padi Association Foundation; and the delivery of assistance in the form of worship equipment; Worthy clothes to wear; groceries; Corn seeds and planting tools; 1,574 Fruit Seeds and Endemic Tree East Kalimantan; 200 Early palm tree seedlings; Communal PLTS DED; and aid fund from East Kalimantan Baznas approximately 100 million.

Meanwhile, Mr. Asfiandi Zulfiar, ST, M.Urp (Functional Officer of Government and Human Development of East Kalimantan Bappeda) who took part in the group gave notes in relation to the working visit of the Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan To the hamlet of "Muluy", among others, emphasizing the need for our common attention to the condition of road access and the availability of telecommunications facilities that are still not optimal. This of course requires good cooperation between the provincial, regional governments and the role of the private sector.
