Kaltim Exspo 2012 Promotional Event
Samarinda, 8/31/12. Deputy Governor of East Kalimantan, H. Farid Wadjdy, representing the Governor of East Kalimantan opened the 2012 Kaltim Exspo event to commemorate the anniversary
The 67th Independence Year of the Republic of Indonesia in the parking lot of Gor Segiri Samarinda was marked by the beating of the gong and continued with a ribbon cutting and inspection of the exhibition arena stands.
The Deputy Governor said that the number of participants in the 2012 Kaltim Exspo was increasing compared to the 2011 Kaltim Exspo, meaning that the existence of the Kaltim Exspo was really needed by the community and entrepreneurs as an opportunity to introduce themselves to the wider community. The Deputy Governor said when giving his speech.
It is hoped that the existence of this exhibition, which involves the Provincial, Regency and City governments as well as the Central government as well as local and national entrepreneurs, will not only be interpreted as an annual event which is just a formality in observing the 67th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, but is hoped to become a momentum to increase the economic growth of East Kalimantan in particular, and Indonesia in general. "At the very least, this activity can open up investment opportunities and business opportunities as widely as possible to increase the development, welfare and prosperity of the people of East Kalimantan," he said.
Arrangement of events
The opening event of the 2012 Kaltim Exspo began with a sound art performance by patients from the Bhakti Husada Hospital in Samarinda, with the title Balikin, an album by singer Slank which was performed very well and received applause from the invitees and audience. Then the event continued with the Enggang dance which is a typical dance of the Dayak tribe and was performed by young men and women from the East Kalimantan region who were trained from the local dance studio and also the Jepen dance with the title washing in the Mahakam River which comes from a typical dance of the Kutai tribe, and continued with the performance of a single dance with the title a typical war dance of the Dayak tribe originating from Muara Wahau, East Kutai, who were also patients from the Atma Husada Hospital in Samarinda.
After a number of art performances were displayed, it was followed by a report from the chairman of the organizers of the 2012 Kaltim Exspo and the Head of the East Kalimantan BPPMD, HM Yadi Sabianoor, who stated that the exhibition from 31 August 2012 to 5 September 2012 was attended by 176 participants consisting of all SKPD within the Provincial Government, other invited Provinces, the Central Government, and SKPD within the Regency/City Government throughout East Kalimantan, as well as participants from local and national entrepreneurs as well as culinary entrepreneurs, and continued with remarks and also opening the exhibition.
Deputy Governor H. Farid Wadjdy then hit the gong several times while being greeted by applause from a number of East Kalimantan SKPD officials who were present. After that, he together with Assistant I of the East Kalimantan Provincial Set, H Aji Sayid Fathurrahman, and the Panpel Coordinator and Head of the East Kalimantan BPPMD, HM Yadi Sabianoor, cut the ribbon to continue inspecting the exhibition arena which will end on September 5 2012.
H. Farid Wadjdy said that East Kalimantan is currently one of the destination areas for local, national and international investors with investment opportunities and potential in various fields, including infrastructure, transportation, economics, engineering, social culture, tourism, education, agriculture in the broadest sense and other fields. "This opportunity and potential
very open to investors. Therefore, the 2012 East Kalimantan Expo exhibition is very strategic as a promotional event, promising opportunities and investment potential. "Because, most of the materials on display are various information on development programs that are being promoted and planned in East Kalimantan," he said.
H. Farid Wadjdy said, the East Kalimantan Provincial Government and all its staff are determined to provide services that are as easy and effective as possible to every investor, both in terms of procedures, time, security and legal certainty. Therefore, investors will feel comfortable, safe and protected when investing in East Kalimantan.
Regarding the location of the upcoming exhibition, the chief organizer H.M. Yadi Sabianoor and Head of BPPMD for East Kalimantan Province said in his report that the development exhibition and East Kalimantan Expo 2012 were the last to be held outside a building or open space.
This is because the East Kalimantan Provincial Government itself has built a Convetion Hall whose first pillar was erected by the Governor of East Kalimantan, DR.H. Awang Faroek Ishak on February 2 2012 and most likely in 2013 the implementation will no longer be in an open area, because we will utilize the Convention Hallbuilding which is on an area of 3.4 hectares, targeted for construction to be completed in 2013," said the head of the organizer who received applause from invited participants and the audience present.
