Since its inception, the Indonesian Provincial Bappeda Association has always strived to increase its role in the progress of the Indonesian nation in the era of globalization by increasing its capabilities in preparing development plans that are professional and oriented towards global competition. The demands for democratization, transparency and accountability in the current era of autonomy require increased performance and professionalism of all planning officials in making quality and accountable development plans.
In the context of Indonesia becoming one of the Ten Big Countries in the World by 2025, it is necessary to carry out regional development which is directed more focused in efforts to build national competitiveness. Through this working meeting, it is hoped that we can produce the formulation of work programs and new initiatives that are able to make a concrete contribution to the success of National Development, in this case the role of Planning is very dominant and decisive in supporting the success of development, both National Development and Regional Development which are increasingly complex and will face increasingly rapid strategic environmental changes.
